Today I was watching yet another cheesy movie on our brand new cable and as always I did not know the name of it. No problem. I turned to my trusty friend IMDB.com. The trouble is how do you find the name of a movie when you don’t know any of the actors or actresses? Easy! You find one actor that you think you recognize, try to remember their name, and search for them. Then you find what movies they have been in, in the past.

I thought I recognized Katherine Heigel.

The blond from Grey’s Anatomy. It so looked like her 10 years earlier. So, I looked her up, looked back into 1997-2000, and BINGO. I found a movie called 100 Girls. The plot summary says:

This sexy, teen-comedy is about a freshman, Matthew (played by Jonathan Tucker), at college who meets…

Perfect! This story was about all this guy dating tons of girls. One problem. They were not in college. They were in high school. But… BUT!! The name is John Tucker! Searching on that I found a movie called: John Tucker Must Die (hey, it is a slow day). That was it! The character is called John Tucker and the actress is Arielle Kebbel.

Can you tell the difference?  Now what are the odds that I was able to track down the name “John Tucker” twice under both of these names, both relating to the same plot, both having the same looking actress??? Is Hollywood just copying or am I just OCD?

Come on. Tell me this is not weird.
